FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It makes things easier for everyone! You’ll love it because you’ll always know exactly what you’re spending up front with no surprises later. Speakers and facilitators like it because they can plan their own travel to suit their schedules. And we prefer it because it means less paperwork.

It varies from speaker to speaker. Don’t be afraid to ask for more than just one keynote. Some speakers are able to speak all day. Others are best suited to do one primary keynote. We’ll be honest with you and help you find someone who meets your needs.

That depends on the policies at your university. It’s a good idea to check with your advisor if you haven’t done this before. But, CAMPUSPEAK happily books keynotes and workshops with student leaders every day. As a student, you should feel confident that you will be treated fairly and professionally when you call CAMPUSPEAK. We’re in this business because we care about students!

Almost always, yes. The only exception would be in those cases where a speaker needs to make a long drive back to the nearest airport for an early morning flight. Please let us know in advance if you would like to have dinner with a speaker. We will be happy to convey any invitations, and in most cases he/she will be delighted to spend some informal time with you. Please understand that dinner before or after a keynote is completely optional, and you should never feel obligated to “entertain” a CAMPUSPEAK speaker. They respect your busy schedule.

Our speakers are expected to get in contact with you either by phone or email at least two weeks in advance of their visit. If you haven’t heard from the speaker, call CAMPUSPEAK immediately at 1 (844) 745-8570 and we will put you in contact with the speaker as soon as possible.

If you are interested in becoming an affiliated speaker, check out our Apply to Be Speaker page. You will find all the info there. If you are a campus-based professional and would like to learn more about joining our workshop facilitator team, contact Monica Bebie, CEO, at 1 (844) 745-8570 or email her at monica@campuspeak.com.

We don’t list prices on our website because there are a number of factors that affect the price quoted on a particular speaker. Each speaker has a base price that is ALL INCLUSIVE of travel and lodging costs. But, if you are flexible on a date and choose one during a time that a speaker is already in your geographical area, the price might go down. Also, the price can be affected by how much you want a speaker to do during a visit. There are many circumstances when speakers can become available to a school at a reduced fee.

CAMPUSPEAK maintains email distribution lists, and we post announcements when speakers are going to be in certain states with open dates. This is a great opportunity to get the speaker you want at a discount price. If you would like to be on your state’s email distribution list, please sign up for updates.

The first step is to have a conversation with one of our team members. Call us at 1 (844) 745-8570. It helps if you know some parameters for an appearance (for example, “We would like a Tuesday or Wednesday in October”). Once we have agreed on a possible date, you check for room availability on your campus, and we check with the speaker or facilitator to be sure the date is available. Once everything is checked out, we send you a simple contract. You have approximately two weeks to sign the contract and return it to us. If you have college or university contracts or riders that you need us to sign, we are happy to work with you. Overall, we try to keep the process simple and straightforward.

Most promotional items are available for download from our website, including photos, introductions, promo posters and more.

Typically, no. Our speakers make their own travel and hotel arrangements, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about! If you are able to assist the speaker by securing an inexpensive “college rate” at a nearby hotel, that would be helpful. Our staff will work with you in the weeks prior to the engagement to make sure everyone understands the speaker’s travel plans and any special needs.

Any staff member can help. You can call 1 (844) 745-8570 or email us at info@campuspeak.com.
