Are the students that will be attending the workshop committed to being advocates for social justice? How so?
This workshop will touch on some very sensitive issues and topics. Will students be open and comfortable talking about topics such as race, religion, sexual orientation, economic standing or more? What topics will come up more than others? Is there anything that needs to be avoided or highlighted more?
Before getting into specifics about social justice, the facilitators will discuss effective communication briefly. Are there any additional topics that you would like introduced or touched on before discussing social justice?
One of the activities will encourage the students to discuss personal responsibility, relationships, business ethics, bystander behavior, marginalization and personal values. Do any of these stand out in particular for the students that will be participating?
