Dr. Mari Ann Callais receives the “2011 Most Powerful and Influential Women” award
Dr. Mari Ann Callais, Director of Development for The Center for Living, Learning, Leading for Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and a member of the CAMPUSPEAK team, was recognized among the “2011 Most Powerful and Influential Women in Louisiana,” at the third annual Louisiana Women’s Conference, presented by the National Diversity Council. Mari Ann was recognized for leadership excellence and for serving as a role model for the promotion of diversity in the workplace. She was one of 14 women from Louisiana receiving the award.
The award is given to those who provide leadership excellence in the public and/or private sectors; sustain a record of accomplishments and/or contributions to field of work throughout scope of her career; demonstrates leadership and commitment to community well-being and high visibility in the community while demonstrating a commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional excellence.
Over the years, Mari Ann has served as the Director of Student Organizations and Greek Life at Southeastern Louisiana University for 10 years. She served an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the Student Affairs Graduate Program at Mississippi State University and as the Theme Housing Specialist and Vice President for Leasing/Marketing Cottages Division for Capstone Development. She is the immediate Past National President of her sorority for Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity and she was a member of the Tri Delta Center Board.
Mari Ann’s dedication is unmatched. Inspiring young people across the country comes natural to Mari Ann with her work with Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, and by speaking to college students about topics ranging anywhere from first year experience to hazing.
