Mr. Nisan Trotter was the “right choice” for our event. I initially reviewed a video of Mr. Trotter presenting. It was refreshing to witness the “authenticity” of his testimonial and to learn how he overcame the odds to be who he is today. Because you see, based on his life’s journey, Mr. Trotter has the power to influence many people and to empower them beyond what they could ever imagine. This is the story that students need to hear up close and personal, particularly those from under-represented, under-resourced and historically marginalized backgrounds.
