Getting to know

Nisan Trotter

Growing up in the backwoods of Silverhill, Alabama, Nisan seemed to move as fast as a Nissan 370Z with lots of activity being a part of his everyday life. He loved sports at an early age and transitioned from football, basketball, and baseball year-round. By his senior year of high school, students voted him as Most Athletic and Homecoming King. Soon thereafter, he earned a football scholarship to one of the nations’s top academic universities, Bucknell University.

Nisan made his impact on Bucknell’s campus in several ways. His motivation and inspiration spread across different communities, diversities, and social, and economic backgrounds. He received the Most Inspirational Player Of The Year Award (voted in by his teammates), and even the university honored him with the first-ever Diversity Achiever Award because of his ability to connect with such a wide group of people.

Daring to dream, Nisan’s impassioned pursuit of entrepreneurship led him to become a decade-long fitness entrepreneur. He has helped thousands of people in The Greater Susquehanna Valley in Central Pennsylvania reach their health and fitness goals. His success gradually garnered national and international attention en route to winning the 2015 Fitness Business Summit Personal Trainer of the Year Award.

Nisan is now a highly sought-after motivational speaker, having presented across the nation, he has creatively crafted his life’s stories to inspire and empower college students to discover their unique gifts and talents in order to accelerate excellence!

Ever wondered what’s needed to grab your destiny rather than let it hang in the balance?

Whether you are a business executive, a soccer mom, a dean’s list college student, or one still trying to figure “it” out, this book will help you land smack-dab in the middle of your purpose by unwrapping the gifts inside you.

It will then teach you how to use those gifts to make your huge dent in the world. Family and friends, work associates, and even mere strangers deserve to know what you got.

Your gift must be broadcast before the world.

I don’t want you to question your purpose a second longer. I want you to know you are BORN GIFTED.

The champ is here.
Much like 11 (+) years ago when we co-found you doodling your logo on a piece of wide-rule paper, it was a rainy day like today. In fact, it was the massive flood of 2011, and Hufnagle Park, where we decided to do our grand opening, was under siege. Yorelis and I recall the infamous words from Haydee Millayes (Yorelis' mom and my Mother-In-Love) during these massive droplets falling from the sky, "Don't worry. The rain means God is going to shower down blessings on your business." She absolutely nailed it because within a few short months we started to see the hand of God all over you.
Onesimus is having his hardest year to date with the game of football, big hits, confused on assignments and unsure of himself and his abilities against bigger, stronger, stiffer competition. In fact, I think he feels the pressure to try and live up to what I accomplished in ball while I sometimes question if I’m putting him in the best positions to succeed on the field. Not to mention, I’m having my toughest year coaching tackle-ball for the first time. However, I will stand behind him and make sure he knows he will NEVER have to earn my love through the game of football. Football was a means to get me to a better place, but God can use anything to advance my son. If he decides to trek down a new path, as God is my witness, I will drop the football “mumbo-jumbo” with him in a heartbeat and figure out how else to be his biggest fan regarding his life’s pursuits. My little black-boy-joy is, and will always be, MORE THAN AN ATHLETE. Love you, son. @yorelis

Accelerating Excellence: How To Drive What’s Inside Of You Towards Success

Have you ever asked yourself “what is my purpose?” or “what am I going to do next?” Nisan Trotter believes that life is more than existing – it’s about excelling! He knows the difference between living versus truly being alive. Imagine life no longer looking black and white, but instead, HD, Plasma Screen – with all the fancy colors! When you excitedly believe you are gifted, discover your gift, and begin to take it to superstar status, choosing a major, making a decision on what clubs or organizations to join, picking friends, and even figuring out next steps after school is no longer overwhelming.

In this leadership program, Nisan Trotter empowers students to explore their passions and identify their natural gifts and talents to help them accelerate their excellence.  He helps them focus on the fun of self-discovery and self-mastery as he believes students can leverage their collegiate experience to conquer gigantic goals, missions, and ambitions. After spending time with Nisan, students will feel energized to lead their own life on fire and dominate their paths.

Home Away From Home

According to UCLA Higher Education Institute, 69% of first-year college students report feeling homesick. Nisan Trotter was awfully familiar with this statistic as a first-year student. As a first-generation college student, Nisan attended college nearly 1,200 miles away from his hometown in Alabama. Nisan found himself phoning his mother in tears due to homesickness, regretting his decision to go to college, and considering dropping out. Luckily, Nisan discovered that the only way to truly thrive and reach his highest potential in college was to turn his school into a #HomeAwayFromHome.

In this keynote, Nisan Trotter shares a roadmap to first-year student success. Students will learn that success in college means taking ownership of their campus spaces and experiences. They will learn how to build true community with their peers by leveraging the power of strategic relationships. Undergraduates will also discover the power of hyper-focusing on winning despite many campus distractions. Finally, they will be taught why finishing their collegiate journey is one of the most gratifying and rewarding achievements.

This program is great for new student orientation, First-generation student weeks, and/or general community leadership programming.

As a result of attending this program, students will learn:

  • How to build a true community by leveraging the power of strategic relationships

Gifted to Live My Healthiest Life

Nearly one out of every four freshmen gain five percent of their body weight the first year of school. This is an average of 10-15 pounds. Why is that? Stress of academics? Entering into a new environment? Social life choices? The answer. All of the above and more.

In this program, Nisan Trotter will explore the reality students face as they enter college and tasked with making decisions on their own. Students will learn the “Three Fs to Breaking Barriers”, as a method to overcome obstacles in life. Nisan will help students learn helpful, healthy habits to avoid the pitfalls of wellness and how to better manage stress. This high-energy program is a great way to kickstart your year or inspire students to get back on track.

The Gift Of Leadership

If she is not among sorority sisters doing community service at the local soup kitchen, does her leadership stop? Nope! If he is not barking out commands on the basketball court as a point guard, does his leadership shut down for the weekend? Of course not. Why? Because leaders lead. What makes a leader great anytime, anyplace, anywhere? Imagine there being no turn-off valve in the life of gifted leaders. Even when they were followers, it was done in a way that suggested, “We follow so well because of knowing one day we will be leading the charge.”

Gifted leaders lean on seven pillars to help them corral, inspire, and galvanize their followers albeit frat brothers, swim teammates, or the like. They can do it anytime, anyplace, anywhere. It’s infectious. It changes trajectory. It changes cultures. Every college campus wants to be filled with these type of dynamic leaders because they are gifted to lead.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this program, students will learn:

  • Why gifted leadership is the best kind of leadership
  • The power of being an effective follower en route to being a gifted leader
  • The Seven Pillars of Gifted Leadership
  • Why gifted leadership can be applied anytime, anyplace, anywhere, especially when attending college
